Rashida Prescod

Practice Manager

Rashida Prescod

Rashida joined Stuart Miller Solicitors in March 2011, having already gained extensive experience at a legal practice. In 2012, whilst employed by the firm, she gained a National Vocational Qualification in Management at the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).

Rashida has overall responsibility for the practice and its day-to-day affairs. She is multi-talented and able to adapt and respond to any situation with promptness. Rashida is impeccably organised and transmits the ora of structure throughout the practice. Your experiences with the firm whether you walk into the office, make a telephone call or send an email; are all regulated and managed by Rashida.

Together with the Managing Director of the firm, Rashida has daily control over the firm's income and expenditure. She ensures the firm's financial targets are met and scrutinises the firm's out-goings. Rashida demands strict compliance with the Legal Aid Agency's rules on costing legal files and reviews the case files of Lawyers to ensure compliance.

Rashida has worked tirelessly to gain the firm's impressive selection of accreditations. She regulates acute compliance with the requirements of Lexcel and Investors in People at all corners of the practice.

She has vast knowledge of management in a broad spectrum of high-level sectors including finance, customer relations, human resources, staff development, record-keeping, performance management, health & safety, fire regulation compliance, money laundering procedures, training and security.

In 2012, Rashida successfully commenced an Apprenticeship Scheme alongside the BPP College of Law. In line with the 'Social & Community Responsibility' policy she created, the scheme has now been extended further to school leavers within the locality. Rashida is now looking to broaden this scheme and encourage local schools to get more involved. She continues to make a number of opportunities available to local  students and encourages individuals to work hard in reaching their potential, especially those interested in a career in law.
