R v F - £100k Criminal Record Bureau Fraud

Our client was employed by the disclosure and barring service as a freelance certified Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) applications officer. Since 2009, our client was alleged to have falsified Hundreds of CRB applications in order make personal financial gain.

A £50 fee is required by an individual to submit an application for CRB if the individual is in full time employment. If the individual is unemployed or working for a charity on a voluntary basis, the application process is free. Our client was alleged to have altered applications from full time employment status to voluntary worker status and then retained the £50 application fee. The total benefit attributed to our client was in excess of £100,000.
